WORKING TO AID TRAFFICKED WOMEN 2023
January 2023, Diane Albers, president of Missouri Lutherans for Life, asked us to help find
places to sell Monarch Jewelry, which is made to benefit women who have been trafficked. We
began searching for shops that might give free space for this cause.
March 6th, 2023, LFL St. Charles chapter members attended the Teens for Life Club’s chapel
devotion and presentation at Lutheran High about their trip to the March for Life

BIBLE MARKING 2023
Our chapter is specially marking Bibles with highlighted verses and personal notes. We donate
these Bibles to local pregnancy resource centers to give out to women. Our board members
pray for the women who receive the Bibles. We have enlisted various individuals and groups
from our congregations and contacts to join us in this fulfilling ministry.
Some people do the Bible-marking by hand, and others use prepared stickers for ease of inserting the messages throughout.
Bibles are being delivered to the following four pregnancy centers:

Of the estimated 100,000 attendees from across the nation, 19 students and 12 adult chaperones represented Lutheran High St. Charles to affirm life at the 2023 March for Life in Washington, D.C. Each year, Life Chains form in cities nationwide to make a public, prayerful, peaceful stand for Life.

March for Life was held on Saturday, January 20, 2023 in Washington, DC!
We Had 28 students and adults in attendance!
Every year, we help Teens for Life with their trip to D.C. for the March for Life. For the 2023 trip, we organized a fundraiser where teens served as parking lot attendants and collected the parking fees during Christmas Traditions along Historic Main Street St. Charles. They raised just under $5,000 with matching funds by an anonymous donor. LFL board member Nicole
Laskowsky helped the high school organize the trip and chaperoned to guide the group, as the other chaperones had never been to the March before. The group included 28 teens and adults. Besides marching, the group attended the Y4Life Convention in D.C. The trip helped inspire a teacher to become the new faculty advisor for the club.
Life Week
During Life Week 2023, LHS Teens for Life Club president, senior Matthew Zilz, put together a presentation for our website. We set up life tables at Our Savior Lutheran Church and Higher Groundz Coffee House at Zion in Maryland Heights. One of our board members, Delores Desemone, presented over Zoom for LFL National on adoption and foster care. We emailed our church contact list information about bulletin inserts and children’s messages available for Life Sunday. After Life Week, we washed our fetal models and purchased new cases for them.
